Spread the word, Ventures has a food truck!
On Sunday July 12th, Ventures celebrated the grand opening of Word of Mouth and launched a new food incubator to teach entrepreneurs how to run successful food businesses. This project will create over 50 new full-time business ventures with the potential to assist additional business owners over the next three years and beyond. The goal is to move participants out of poverty through targeted food business development services and ongoing support. Over 200 guests joined the celebration at Westlake Park and enjoyed food from Ventures businesses: Streetzeria, Lily’s Salvadoran Catering, Island Pizzeria and That Brown Girl Cooks.
The event was made possible thanks to our amazing clients, staff, community partners and sponsors: Bustos Media, La GranD, PepsiCo Seattle, Cornerstone Financial Group and Whole Foods Market Interbay. Word of Mouth received it’s great name, brand and design from the talented team at Creature.
After the launch, we hit the ground running; Word of Mouth is already scheduled at the Seattle Waterfront through October! Confirmed client businesses are Triumph and LulaMae’s SoulKitchen. Find delicious food at Word of Mouth on Alaska Way between Seneca Street and University Street from 11am to 3pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays now through October!
