Nonprofit Management Fellow
Nate joined Ventures in June 2016.
As the Nonprofit Management Fellow, Nate directly supports the Associate Director in a range of operational areas such as finances, office management, human resources, fundraising and volunteer management. He assists with the expansion of special projects and observes program activities and board meetings. Additionally, Nate participates in professional development and educational opportunities related to the nonprofit industry.
Nate is passionate about reaching underserved and vulnerable communities to create pathways out of poverty. He joined Ventures because he hopes to positively impact the Puget Sound community by promoting business opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs.
Nate is currently a Master of Public Administration (MPA) candidate at the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance and holds a BA in English and Hispanic Studies from Lewis & Clark College. He served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in China between 2011-2013 and later joined an international organization in Seattle to promote global perspectives in education. Nate has lived abroad in China, Spain and Brazil, and speaks Mandarin and Spanish.
In the future, Nate hopes to work in international development increasing access to health care in rural areas or aiding refugees displaced by war and persecution.
